By the rivers of Babylon, There we sat down, yea, we wept when we remembered Zion. Psalm 137:1
It hurts when we're forced to relate to how the exiles felt upon hearing of Jerusalem’s fall by the Babylonians in 586 B.C. Something that meant so much to these people was taken.
I see parents who have lost a child. What can I do? I often feel like a visiting coach on the sidelines calling out to his team but his words are drowned out by the noise from the home team fans as I watch a friend that desperately needs Jesus who just won’t listen. What can I do? I’ve done all I can physically to sympathize or counsel, it just doesn’t seem to work. Again, what do I do?
On our knees is a good place to start…
